Autumn Resilience

A Presh Health and Healthy Inspired You

Resilience is the ability to bounce back quickly. It means being both strong and flexible. It is the opposite of fragility. Picture the reed that stays firmly rooted as it flexes in a river's current, as opposed to the dry, hollow tree that stands rigid, cracking and toppling when the waters rise too high or rush too quickly.

Whether it involves returning from summer travels, back-to-virtual-school, the start of flu season or simply a change in the weather, the transition between Summer and Fall can bring changes in environment, schedule and energy that may feel challenging -   especially this year. Taking a weekend to rest and recharge is a valuable opportunity to cultivate resilience, enhancing our capacity to deal with minor stressors of daily life as well as the unexpected challenges the river of life can send our way.

Join Dr. Kellie Moore, ND and certified Health Coach Renee Andreasen in September 2020 for a 3-day guided virtual retreat to focus on supporting your health and immunity, gain more mental freedom and draw strength and inspiration from other women.

Where to Go

A virtual retreat offers the flexibility to tailor this retreat to your own preferences, budget and ability to travel. We encourage you to find or create a space that inspires you and brings you peace. Whether that means renting a cabin in the mountains, borrowing a friend's cottage on the beach, splurging on a boutique hotel room, or sending your partner and children camping for the weekend and turning your home into a sanctuary, you get to decide.

What to Bring

Suggested Packing List

  • Non-toxic bath products, sunscreen, insect repellent (if applicable)

  • Casual and comfortable clothing appropriate to the climate and activities available at your location

  • Eye pillow

  • Journal

  • Yoga mat and 2 blocks

  • Cooking supplies and ingredients for retreat menu (sent to your e-mail on August 26th)

  • Herbal teas, kombucha, coconut water

  • Device such as laptop, tablet or smartphone capable of connecting to wifi and running Zoom.

  • Reading material

  • Most importantly, a sense of curiosity, openness to new ideas and experiences, and compassion for yourself and others.

What to leave behind

As much as we encourage you to make this retreat your own, we suggest that in order to maximize the benefits of this opportunity you consider leaving behind and avoiding the following:

  • Personal care products with harmful chemicals

  • Ultra-processed foods, refined sugar products

  • Alcohol, recreational drugs

  • Work projects, to-do lists, chores

  • Outside activities with people who are not also on the retreat

  • Whether you stay home or find a different space for the weekend, we encourage you to spend this weekend alone, or with a close friend, without children or partners. This is a time for you to retreat from as many of the demands of your job, relationships and other responsibilities as you can.

  • We encourage you also to leave behind any expectations that you have for yourself or others during your retreat. Allow yourself to go with the flow and be open to the results.
